This mirror is sophisticated and understated with the graining in the border. The Brush is dragged acoss an olive base with iridescent gold. This technique is called "Strie". The border is hatched grain glaze pattern in red.  Because the gold is iridescent it changes (as silk does) depending on which way the light hits it.
